Together with the Wuppermann Group, we at ABF are currently implementing an exciting project in Moerdijk (Netherlands):
Two cranes in the finished goods hall, which have previously been operated manually, will in future be coordinated by the OneBase^®MFT warehouse management system and will execute travel orders fully automatically. The automation ensures that the loading process is optimally supplied with finished materials – a decisive step towards consistently digital and efficient loading logistics.

What changes specifically?
• Coils are dynamically outsourced just in time – precisely matched to the respective means of transport
• If a transporter arrives at the loading bay, the material is already ready
• Pre-picking of wide strip coils is no longer necessary
The material movements are based on the requirements of our trimodal loading management. Loading processes are controlled flexibly and integrated from the automatic warehouse directly to trucks, trains and ships.

The result:
More transparency, higher efficiency and a future-proof logistics solution that consistently combines automation and smart planning.
