For the first time in 40 years, a new stainless steel plant opens in Europe. This plant represents a technological milestone in the production of future-oriented high-performance materials for the international automotive, energy and aviation industries. When fully operational, the new facilities will be able to produce 205,000 tons of special steels per year.   <\/p><p>The electric arc used is powered 100 percent by renewable energy. Closed water cooling circuits reduce heat consumption by 90 percent per year. The heat is not only used in the plant itself, but is also made available to Stadtwerke Kapfenberg for district heating.  <\/p><p>We are delighted to have been able to take part in this event.
