Following pioneering projects such as the Automated Warehouse Transport Control System at binderholz, the Forklift Guidance System for Finsa in Spain, and the Manufacturing Execution Systems for sawmill and CLT plants at Mayr-Melnhof Timber, the next major success follows: the Pfeifer Group is also relying on ABF’s expertise in the long term.

The 5 Pölkky Oy plants of the Pfeifer Group in Finland will be equipped with an innovative forklift control and warehouse management system from ABF and connected to SAP EWM.
Particularly gratifying: ABF has now also been commissioned at short notice with the implementation of an MES for the drying kilns in the sawmill process.
Both solutions will be implemented with the new LumenUI technology of the ABF OneBase® Application Framework and are scheduled to go live by mid-2026.

This decision once again shows that ABF is in demand as a full-service supplier among the major players in the European timber industry – from intralogistics to digital production control.
