As a system provider, we were commissioned to integrate the new HF press in terms of information technology. During the introduction of the ABF production control system, the focus was on ensuring communication with the ABAS ERP system, the glue application, the conveyor lines and the HF press and controlling the label printer for fully automatic labeling of the pressed BSH bars.

Our tried-and-tested ABF solution OneBase®MES was used again, which now also ensures optimum coordination of production processes at this Mayr-Melnhof Timber site, resulting in fully automated manufacturing of BSH parallel goods. The new system now also provides the recording of operating data, which will further contribute to increasing productivity in the future. The foundation for further optimization and digitalization of BSH Manufacturing has thus been laid!

Mayr Melnhof Timber team during commissioning

We would like to thank the team at Mayr-Melnhof Timber in Olsberg and our ABF team for their excellent cooperation!

ABF’s Manufacturing Execution System fully covers the newly integrated “high-frequency press incl. mechanization” project at the Olsberg site and thus ensures the integration of all necessary interfaces to the plant suppliers. What I particularly appreciate about the ABF team is the strategic preparation, the commitment, the good cooperation and the smooth implementation of complex issues in the Timber Industry.

Head of Investment Management Processing / Technical Products

This project is a very good example of a company’s digitalization strategy. Mayr-Melnhof Timber also relies on ABF’s Manufacturing Execution System at this site. I am particularly pleased that we were able to implement the project in record time thanks to this tried-and-tested collaboration.
